I saw this scene in Cotuit at the town landing, quickly took a photo of it, and came home and painted it.

I painted this from a photo I took in Provincetown, one of the boats is the Terry a favorite subject in Provincetown.

Hyannisport Statue, 9x12 oil SOLD

This painting was born as I was driving through Hyannisport,and I saw this scene. I have driven the same route at least 100 times, but never saw the statue in a backyard. Ihad my camera, so i took a picture of it from the sidewalk. as luck would have it, the homeowner drove up. I said hello,and asked if she minded me taking pictures of her beautiful statue, and that I was going to paint it.She said she didn't mind and if she liked my painting she would purchase it. she said, that the statue has been there all along, she just cleared the brush, and there it was.

lot and thought i would do it bigger.

I did this painting with the pallet knife, from a picture i took last year. I think Julie Heller is going to have a First House show at her gallery in Provincetown. I will be ready.

This was my painting this morning in Cotuit, it was a perfect summer day on the cape.I started early and finished early, framed the painting and brought it over to the show, and I had the good fortune to sell it.
